The Society has received a Preservation Supply Grant from the NYSCA GHHN Conservation Grant Program which enabled us to purchase 3 dehumidifiers and 2 air circulators to help reduce the humidity in the William Miller House thereby helping us to preserve the interior of this facility.
Further, the Society has received a Site Assessment Grant from the NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Grant Program. This Grant will pay for a visit by a collections consultant to discuss specific areas of stewardship, including identifying collections issues and prioritizing basic steps to improve the care.
This is administered by Greater Hudson Heritage Network GHHN, the NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Grant Program. Preservation Supply Grant is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. Additional funding from the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation supports projects from Long Island and New York City.
