Lost British Forts of Long Island Lecture & General Meeting

FreeWhen the Revolutionary War broke out and New York City had fallen in 1776, the forces of the king of Great Britain developed a network of forts along the length of Long Island to defend the New York area and create a front to Patriot forces across the Sound to Connecticut.

David M. Griffin is a practicing architectural and interior designer based in the New York area and an independent architectural historian and researcher. He has always held a fascination for early history and especially early fortifications of North America
