A Christmas Visit with Postman Pete

Children are invited to bring their prewritten letter for Santa to the old Miller Place Post Office, 75 North Country Road, Miller Place. Postman Pete will bundle the letters for the North Pole! Visit the historic c. 1720 William Miller House for refreshments and caroling led by local high school students. Each child will receive a letter from Santa delivered to the home shortly thereafter.

Country Fair 2019

Experience life in early America at the 300-year old William Miller house. Open hearth cooking, basket weaving, wampum bead making, Revolutionary War encampment, historic farm tools, Victorian games, face painting, and more! Fun for the whole family!
$5 minimum donation required for admittance.
Saturday 9/28 & Sunday 9/29 10am-4pm

Lost British Forts of Long Island Lecture & General Meeting

When the Revolutionary War broke out and New York City had fallen in 1776, the forces of the king of Great Britain developed a network of forts along the length of Long Island to defend the New York area and create a front to Patriot forces across the Sound to Connecticut.

About the speaker:

David M. Griffin is a practicing architectural and interior designer based in the New York area and an independent architectural historian and researcher. He has always held a fascination for early history and especially early fortifications of North America
